It's 4th down and 20 to go, the defense breaks the huddle playing man up with two coverage men in the deep secondary. The offense takes to the line with a cloud of mist from the cold afternoon surrounding the huddle. A chill goes through their spines as they watch the beast line up at tailback, sensing the urgency of the war that awaits. The battle of destiny to decide which team will emerge victorious and which will end up paying for burgers after the game. The defense is in disarray screaming "Red...Red...RED!" and red is exactly what they bled as Stampor ripped through the line like a whirling dervish hell bent on destroying everything in his path. A tornado of fury, blasting its way through concrete walls, spinning and whipping around like Barry Sanders on steroids, terrorizing everything that dares to cross its path, and... fumbling the football like away like Kordell Stewart at the Necto.

Dave Stampor is one of those feel good stories that never quite made it to ESPN. Born David John Stampor, Dave grew up in a quiet Sterling Heights neighborhood, sheltered from any dangers and tragedies that might intice or motivate him to become an all star football player. Raised in a happy family, he was unable to experience the fear and heart ache it takes to succeed in the NFL. Dave was able to overcome his disadvantaged advantages and goody-two shoes raising to become one of the greatest running backs never to step foot on the field. He has earned nicknames such as "Psycho", "Crazy", and "Dammit Dave" (following a Rich injury). He was held back from little league and high school ball, but participates yearly in FATFEST.

With FATFEST providing an outlet for his abilities and showcasing his talents, he has become a top notch draft pick. He is strong, fast, and a team player. With every great player, however, weaknesses are exploited, none more evident than Dave's inability to hold on to the football and his lack of endurance. While you may not see Dave on any ESPN highlight reels, he is sure to dazzle the shamrocks out of a box of Lucky Charms.
