Miller "Prime" Time vs. Tree Huggin Hipsters; (MT by 10)

Tree has been somewhat of a disappointment this season, but has been rising back to top form in recent weeks. Favre will be severely missed this week, even after his -1 pt performance last week. If by some undivine power Blake gets thrown in at QB for the Bengals this week, THH could deliver the upset. Rod Smith was showing his old form last week, KJ is rippin it up every week, and Mathis is putting up the points. Dilger, Richey, and Defenses have been good enough to put a W in the win column. Miller "Prime" Time has had an unbeleivable season baby. Awesome baby! Brunell & Young combine for the best QB duo in the league. WRs are great, and RBs can dominate any given week. Dallas and Denver show poise and power in defeating teams every week. Miller Time has had a little help in playing teams during their weakest weeks, but a win is a win and nothing should be taken away from this talented team. There is no reason to believe THH can pull an upset without Favre.

Psychos vs. T and A; (Psychos by 4)

T and A has been on the decline this season, and coach Vince (Pa) Levigne couldn't have picked a better week to pull of a trade. Losing Galloway is a risk, but acquiring two immediate starters at RB may prove it worth while. Holcombe gained 21 ff pts in his first outing and shows much promise. Gary Brown looks to get 6-7 pts a week as a starter. Galloway averages 10, but Frank Sanders looks to be the new man in ARI and could help to wipe the tears. This week may be rough with Moore on the bye. Terry Allen has been the most consistent player on the team, but needs a big game. Saints have been solid this season but face the toughest test this week going against a highly pissed off Niner team. Ravens should fly high and add some support for defense. Psychos have struggled and struggled and struggled. They have had problems putting teams away. A loss last week to Midnight Marauders puts him one loss closer to looking forward to next season. Psycho's RBs can compete with almost anyone, WRs are among league best, and TEs appear decent enough to win. Their weak defense was traded away, and newly acquired Buffalo had a surprise week vs. the #1 offense in the NFL. hmmm...something missing...ah yes, his QBs. At the beginning of the season QBs looked promising, but with George hurt and Mitchell benched, they're left with Trent Green? And on top of that, Hollas will start this week? Touble for Psychos at QB leads to obvious decision.

Rage vs. Midnight Marauders; (Rage by 19)

Manning not only got his first win in the NFL, but in our fantasy league as well. Peyton may not be Coach GJ's first choice at QB but he now looks like he is ready to lead. Kramer has stepped it up and launched himself to the #4 QB spot in Fantasy Football. WRs are tough and can air it out any week of the season. Gonzalez is average. RBs at first glance look weaker than any other team, but keep overachieving and producing decent numbers. Unfortunately for MM, decent RBs haven't been winning him games. Inconsistent defenses make it tough to win games. Trades for a defense, RB much needed here. Rage has dominated almost every team they have faced. Inconsistent QBs haven't been needed in most games. Kordell needs to find his game, and Kanell needs to find a RB to help a struggling NYG offense. Smith and Smith help pave the Way. Calloway keeps surprising while Carter has been watching Moss come alive. Morton has huge numbers, but may be gone to Toin Coss assuming he passes the physical. Sharpe has been better than most WRs and Rage's defenses...well what can we say about that...THE RAGE IS ABSOLUTELY RELENTLESS. #1 & #4 defenses are solid! Nothing here to show an upset.

The Thundering Terd vs. Toin Coss; (TC by 5)

The Thundering Terd has been an absolute disgrace to the sport of fantasy football. Is this what is to be expected of expansion teams? A week of fun then off to the tanks to wait for next year's draft. Coach Chad Johnson, younger brother of 1997 GM of the year Geoff Johnson, has not put his players in the position needed to win football games. Just two weeks ago he had a weekly total of 69 (heh heh...69), and only seven players earned him points. Coach CJ's weekly lineup has consisted of injured players and players on the bye. The two other expansion teams: honorable Psychos have struggled this season and Rage has been unbelievable, but neither team has shown any signs of tanking. Tanking is unacceptable and dishonest. If this is what is to be expected the league will have to review any further expansion to prevent future tanking. Talent is not a problem as TT has plenty of it. Four players combined for 78 pts last week. RBs are a little thin, but QBs are highly talented. Real Deal Moss - Rockin Randall combo could be unstoppable with right supporting cast. Toin Coss has had some heartbreakers. Loads of talent has had disappointing season. Barry Sanders, Natrone Means, and Duce Staley are potential game breakers, but Barry had only one big game and the sure-shot RB has fallen to #5 RB. WRs get boost with addition of Morton, but DET has a bye this week. Defenses hang tough, and QBs have been ok. Breakout week long overdue, but not needed against declining Thundering Tank. Toin Coss should finally get their much needed win and place them in a better seat in the standings.

THE GAME OF THE WEEK....

The JV Experience vs. Attitude Adjustment; (JV by 6)

JV whalloped an AA team in week one by 30+ pts. Even without Elway, JV has been winning games. RBs are potent, but will miss Alstott this week. McCaffrey has been dealt, but Moulds, Scott, and Shepherd dont need his help to bust a move. Tenessee's defense has gone hot and somehow unoticed, and KC is just simply the best. The JV Experience could post record numbers if Elway plays and produces. However, this is a much improved AA team that JV is facing. Grbac is recovered and should be back to his old self. 3 new starters have been added, all upgrades and all at vital positions. Galloway makes his first appearance for AA this week against Denver, but Harrison and Pickens will welcome him with open arms and continue their consistent season perfomances. Bettis, Holmes, and Davis are by far the best three RBs AA has posted this season. Cleeland has silently led the Saints in recieving yards, and would have just as many points as any TE other than Sharpe. Rams and Falcons may not be #1 on anyone's list, but should be looking for revenge against this JV team. Expect AA to come out Rumblin and Tumblin and fighting 'til one team can no longer go on. This should be a classic game. With a sense of rivalry developing in only their second meeting, this could make for an interesting possible playoff game.

*** Coach's Corner ***

----Coach Rich Fusinski's thoughts on this week's game vs. Miller Time----

"Well... it all boils down to the fact that I only have one starting quarterback this week. Oh yes... that other small fact that Curtis Martin is questionable to play as well... and oh yes that other fact that San Franciso's defense seems to have taken a vacation... and let's not forget that Elam is injured as well. Through all of this blood, sweat, toil and tears, it is difficult to envision a win coming out of this week's clash with the #1 ranked Miller Time, but it is not impossible. Fred Taylor and Curtis Martin have put up 2 consecutive 100 yard games. Robert Edwards is also coming off a stellar week. My receivers, aside from Johnson, have been a bit shaky, but the potential for greatness is lurking and just waiting to pop out unexpectedly. Basically, if we're going to win this game, the Hippies need to come together and collectively perform at 110 percent. On the other side of the coin, Miller Time is due for a bad week. Don't believe me? Take San Fransisco for example. Nobody thought Buffalo had a chance against them, and before you knew it, the mighty 49ers tripped over their own feet and fell face first into the mud, so you never know. We Hippies are sacrificing chickens to Jobu in hope of a serious upset."
